Unbroken is the fast paced love story of Emerson and Juliet and much like her namesake these star crossed lovers were destined to be together until lies and promises broke them apart.
Four years ago Juliet experienced the best and worst summer of her life. She met Emerson, the boy of her dreams, her forever boy and it was a hot passionate love affair to remember. But then tragedy struck and Juliet returned to the city, trying to piece back her shattered heart and forget Emerson although she knew that this was impossible. “I’ve had Emerson Ray’s name branded on my heart since the day we met, and nothing could ever change that.”
In the present day, Juliet returns to the last place she and Emerson had connected, under the ruse of packing up the family beach house but deep down she knew why she had to return. Emerson.
This was a quick read for me, I finished it within a matter of hours and I think that was due to the pacing of the story. This was a hot passionate love affair and I got swept along with Juliet and Emerson. I liked Juliet, I could connect with her pain and her torment. After building a life away from Cedar Grove, it is clear Juliet is just going through the motions, pretending everything is good on the surface while she is cracking underneath. Juliet cried A LOT don’t get me wrong the girl had a whole stream of issues to deal with but I was willing her to stand up and take what she wanted. She did get there in the end, I was just sending my independent woman vibes saying ‘c’mon girl’ 
Emerson. Dark and brooding Emerson. This guy was like a closed book when it came to what was going on in his mind. It was clear to see the passion and love he still felt for Juliet but you could tell even though he truly wanted her, he was always keeping her at arm’s length and again I was having to tell him off while I read; ‘stop trying to be noble and just say it!’ 
Is it worth mentioning this book was hot? because believe me it was! I felt the connection between Juliet and Emerson, the fizzing electricity and consuming desire when they got even remotely close to each other. They had passion in abundance and this was conveyed in the author’s writing. I loved the writing style, this story just flowed effortlessly allowing me to melt into the story and experience this journey with Juliet and Emerson.
This was a great whirlwind story of first love and forever love. It had a great supporting cast of characters and I do wonder who will feature in the companion novel If you are looking for a great, steamy all consuming love story then what are you waiting for? Buy it now!
